Infectious Proteins

You might be wondering why I made this post and whether if it's even possible that proteins themselves can cause infections and other health issues? Well that's the thing, even this was a huge surprise for me when I started out med school, I always mostly thought infections are caused by only bacterias, but after studying the microbiological aspects in med school, I became aware of things like parasitic infection, aside from bacterial and viral infections. That's where the concept of prions really come from.

The video above is a short introduction for the very concept of prion diseases for starters and people who aren't aware of the concept of it at all, like how I used to do before coming across this concept during my studies.
